Katie Couric is clearly the best news anchor person to have auto-tune done to her voice.
Thank you everybody!

Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 which crashed into the Hudson River on January 15, speaks for the first time on national television about that day. In his interview with Katie Couric, Sullenberger revealed that he knew exactly what to do after he realized that his plane was literally gliding toward the earth. Even when he had zero engine thrust, Sullenberger remained professional and calm, knowing precisely what the protocol was to take control of the plane and land it in water.
This guy is infinitely awesome.

Did you know that Lil Wayne goes on tour with two private buses? One of the buses he travels in. The other one is a dedicated recording studio. That’s right. He’s got a recording studio on wheels that’s on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! The reason for this, as explained in this special Grammy interview with Katie Couric (aired on February 4, 2009), is that Lil Wayne often creates his songs on the spot and the access to a personal studio even when he’s away from the studio space allows him to record any song whenever the words come to him.
The interview is actually pretty enlightening. You’ll find out from it that Lil Wayne is an avid bowler and he’ll also explain the reason for his name change from “Dwayne” to “Wayne”. I won’t ruin the reason for the name here, so just watch the video if you’re interested.

Not quite a piano duet, but I just have to say that this might be the most creative piece of video mashing I’ve seen done to Sarah Palin.
The music is set to the video of Sarah Palin being interviewed by Katie Couric. Seriously, how do people come up with this stuff??!??!! SO GOOD!

Oh wow, this is video editing gold! Terry Tate returns to video in this segment where he tackles Sarah Palin during her interview with Katie Couric. The beginning of the video is familiar if you saw her interview about newspapers, but wait until the end for the big tackle. [via]
Here’s one of the original videos featuring Terry Tate. This one is Office Linebacker.

If you watched the debates tonight (Wednesday night), you will have heard both candidates reference somebody named “Joe the plumber”. I didn’t think much of it except that I thought it was a stupid replacement for the term “Joe six-pack” which Sarah Palin has been throwing around. But I just realized that this “Joe the plumber” is in fact a real person that both the candidates are referring to!
Katie Couric had a phone interview with the real Joe, known as Joseph Wurzelbacher, from Holland, Ohio and asked him how he feels about his recent 15 minutes of fame. Wow.
