KATSU uses a fire extinguisher to paint a huge fill-in

October 27, 2009 @ 6:33 pm

AnimalNY just posted a new video of graffiti writer KATSU doing a fill-in using a fire extinguisher. You can’t read a thing after it’s done, but I think the point is that it’s huge.

Anybody know what tunnel this is? I don’t recognize it at all (could be the Riverside Drive tunnels maybe?). If you know, fill me in.

If you missed the previous video of KATSU and MORAL spray painting the city, you can check that out here.

Holy crap, this is epic. Graffiti writers KATSU and MORAL used high pressure fire extinguishers filled with paint to cover large city walls with their tags. [via]

Remember that photo I posted on Twitter of the huge KATSU tag somewhere along Riverside Park? Well, this video above shows how that exact tag was done.

Powers of KATSU

AnimalNY shows off this short film from Red Bucket Films that follows the work of graffiti writer KATSU going from something as small as a grain of rice to the rooftop of a building in Chelsea. The name Powers of KATSU comes from the classic short film Powers of 10 by Charles and Ray Eames.
