As mentioned earlier today, Bill Clinton made a secret visit to North Korea to meet with Kim Jong Il and to secure the freedom of imprisoned US journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling. And from that meeting good news has come, as The New York Times is reporting that both US journalists have been freed and pardoned of their crimes by Kim Jong Il and are safely on their way back to the US .
Here is video of Clinton’s arrival and departure, along with the departure of Euna Lee and Laura Ling.
Man, Bill Clinton deserves some major respect for this noble deed.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il has reportedly picked his youngest son, Kim Jong-un as his successor . There’s not much that is known about Kim Jong-un except that he studied in Switzerland under a pseudonym and that he is a fan of Michael Jordan. The image above released by South Korean TV station KBS shows Kim Jong-un at the age of 11. Kim Jong-un is currently 25 years old.
I wonder if his educational background in Switzerland may influence him at all in changing the current government structure in North Korea. We can dream, yeah?

Losing those luscious locks I see…

After reportedly suffering a stroke last year (and subsequently disappearing from the public spotlight for some time), North Korea has finally released a new photograph of Kim Jong Il looking much skinnier and grey-haired than ever before.
If you recall, Kim Jong Il was recently re-elected to a third term (although I’m sure the meaning of re-election is questionable in this scenario).

Exactly what you would expect to happen if Kim Jong Il were to appear in an eHarmony ad with a significant other. Thanks Danny !
