Wow, Lance Armstrong looks awesome on the custom Stages bicycle designed by Yoshitomo Nara. The bicycle is a Trek Madone and will be auctioned on October 2 with all proceeds going to the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer awareness and research.
Lance Armstrong’s cancer-fighting drive is highlighted in this ad from Nike. It shows scenes of cancer patients criss-crossed with scenes of Lance riding his bike. Incredibly powerful ad and one that certainly gets at the critics who bash what he does best.
Take a look at this beautiful custom bike that was made for Lance Armstrong for the Tour of Italy!
The bike is a Trek Madone with custom graphics by Shepard Fairey. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I’m so glad that Lance decided to post these pics on his Twitter.
According to Lance, he actually received two custom Trek bikes for the Tour of Italy and you can see a picture of the other bike here.
He’s currently got about 12 screws in his body holding bones in place while they fully heal and at the moment he doesn’t know what the injuries mean for his cycling career.
