The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) owns a machine called the BatCat (Bomb Assessment Tactical Counter Assault Tool) that can use its telescoping arm to lift, destroy, and remove potential bomb threats at a distance of about 50 feet. The Caterpillar-based machine is totally remote-controlled. Cool!
