If you aren’t too keen about spending nearly $300 on a laptop stand, then the Macessity NX Stand may be a better alternative. At just $60, it comes with a side slot for an external harddrive and a built-in 4-port USB hub (along with allowing you to access the laptop’s USB hubs while in the stand).
In terms of usefulness, I feel like the NX Stand beats out the Balmuda Floater by a long shot. Plus, it helps that the NX Stand is a fraction of the price. Anybody own this who can attest to the solid steel make? Sturdy or not?

A company in Sweden named Haglofs is selling these fantastic 15″ and 17″ laptop drybags for when you absolutely must bring your computer with you to a location that is wet. Each laptop drybag keeps the water out using a ziplock and roll-over closure (similar to a roll-top backpack). [via]

If you aren’t quite satisfied with the Byrd & Belle felt laptop sleeve then maybe the Hard Graft Sporting MacBook Pro Sleeve will be a good alternative to take a look at. But beware of the nearly $120 USD price tag.

Great news! The KRINK x Incase laptop sleeve for 13″ and 15″ Apple computers is now once again available for a limited time at Arkitip for $95. I guess I could just do this to my current laptop case and save myself the money…but this looks so good!

Designer Blythe King makes these wonderful MacBook Pro cases called iSockits that are created from vintage fabrics and various antique badges. Each one is hand-sewn and fits a 13″ MBP snugly with extra pockets on the outside for pens, notebooks, and other miscellaneous stuff. You can purchase one over at Supermarket for $65. If I had a 13″ notebook, I’d get one. These look nice!
