Artist Walter Wick stacked 117 objects on top of a single Lego piece for the Kids Gallery of the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford. Wick took about a week to perfect the balancing act and in the end used small wind-up toys to knock down the tower.
Lego unveils Toy Story minifigs
July 24, 2009 @ 10:11 pm

Man, lots of new Toy Story toys coming out in the near future including these wonderful Lego Toy Story minifigs from Toy Story 1 and 2. The characters in this minifig set include Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jesse, Stinky Pete, Bullseye, Zurg, 4 Bucket O Soldiers, and an Alien.
I’ve posted some individual images of the minifigs below (click on the images in the next page to see them in hi-res), but you should definitely check out the two Flickr galleries (here & here) that truly show how great these toys are. Thanks to Upcoming Pixar for the links!
How awesome does Buzz Lightyear look here?

February 3, 2009 @ 12:42 pm

Christoph Neimann over at the Abstract City blog has a cute post about how he sees New York City in his child’s LEGO pieces, despite currently residing in Berlin, Germany. He has annotated pictures, some of which are very creative to say the least. Check them out after the jump.
Gallery of mecha robots made of LEGO’s

A lot of these look like Japanese Gundam counterparts, complete with guns, shields, boosters, rockets, and wings. I just went through all of the photos and I’m in awe of how creative some people can get with their LEGO sets.
