Phoenix have posted 4 videos of them from The Interface (Spinner.com) which I’ve re-posted and embedded here. Above is a stripped-down version of “Lisztomania” and below is “1901″ followed by “One Time Too Many”, all of which are fantastic when played acoustically.
It’s no secret that Phoenix is one of my favorite bands ever and their latest CD, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, has been at the top of my iTunes playlist ever since it leaked months ahead of its release date.
Well here are the French guys playing an acoustic version of “Lisztomania” on KEXP radio, recorded live at The Cutting Room Studios in NYC.
I have to admit, “Lisztomania” really does make me want to dance like this whenever I listen to it. I hope the actual music video to this song is as good as this. [via]
Phoenix played two tracks from their upcoming album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix live on SNL on April 4, 2009. The upcoming CD is hands-down one of the better CDs I’ve come across this year and I’m excited to find out about their upcoming tour (hopefully in the US).
For now, check out the two videos here, and if they get taken down, watch it over at Hulu (here and here).
