When he’s not in London’s park feeding pigeons, Simon is a traveling wildlife cameraman, helping to film documentaries about some of nature’s animals and beasts. Simon feels that sometimes people overlook the creatures that lurk in their own backyard and thus miss a chance at seeing some real beauty in their neighborhoods.
As you can imagine, Simon’s food sometimes compels other animals to his camera such as squirrels, dogs, and ducks, and The Daily Mail has pictures of some of these animals as well.
Watch this amazing sped-up time-lapse video of Mike Kus designing his slides for a presentation he gave about graphic design at FOWD London 2009. I wish I was as competent as he was in Photoshop. He makes it look so easy!
If you want to see his final presentation slideshow, you can do so here (his presentation was titled “Graphic Design: The Forgotten Web Standard”).
This is old but it’s the first time I’m seeing it because Yelena just sent it over. Here’s a video from Wednesday, November 12, 2008 of the G.O.O.D. Music after party in London. Performing in this video are members of De La Soul, Mos Def, Damon Albarn, Will I Am, and Nas, with appearances by a long list of hip-hop’s finest. This was 10 minutes of straight lyrical genius. Enjoy!
Creative Review had a good April Fools’ joke on their website yesterday about how the 2012 London Olympics committee was contemplating using Comic Sans as the official typeface for the upcoming Olympic games. The reason why I think this was a particularly good April Fool’s joke is because it would actually seem plausible given the very real and ugly choice for a logo they are already using to represent the 2012 Olympic games.
