Just found out about this new magazine called The Collective Qtrly that selects a single state to focus on for each issue. Issue #1 is centered around Marfa, TX and while it is not actually out yet, the photos on their Instagram make me believe that this is going to be a fantastic periodical.
This is an incredibly fascinating look at how photographer Peter Belanger photographed the iPhone 3GS for a Macworld magazine cover back in 2009. UPDATE: The Verge interviews Peter.
Just got sent this interesting magazine called the Rustbelt Almanac which profiles select individuals in America’s former industrious heartland who are still making things despite industry moving elsewhere. You can pre-order Issue #1 right now for $12, and I highly encourage you to check out their blog in the meantime. Lots of good videos there.
You can see a great preview of Issue #2 of Saturdays Magazine over at the Saturdays Surf website. I love the look of this publication. Definitely one of my favorites.
