I am never going to go up on a mountain top and snowboard while hanging on to a kite. Ever. The camera man seems pretty ecstatic about it all, but I’m pretty sure this was not that fun for the guy on the board. [via]
Range Rover and Isuzu climb a steep hill
July 16, 2009 @ 2:06 pm
My viral video sense didn’t go off and I’m pretty certain this is as real as it gets. The video above shows a Range Rover doing exactly what it was made to do — go off-roading in an extreme environment.
Here’s an Isuzu trying to do the same thing and not quite making it.

(int) Factor Films presents THEY CAME FROM… from factor films on Vimeo.
Factor-Films just released this teaser for a film they are working on called They Came From…
The film captures the spirits of several snowboarders on the mountaintops as they glide down the slopes with helicopters and cameras overhead. The helicopter shots are actually quite nice. Can’t wait to see more!
The Supermotard: a track bike with mountain tires
April 10, 2009 @ 8:47 pm

Amaro created this hybrid track bike with mountain bike wheels and it looks awesome. While there may be no particular need to mix the two bikes together, I can’t help but say that I rather like the fat wheeled look that this Supermotard has.
As for the name, I’d change it. But everything else is neat!

Burton – It’s Always Snowing Somewhere
October 6, 2008 @ 6:24 pm

This past August, Burton released a dual-disc DVD movie featuring their worldwide team of snowboarders. And just like everything they produce, the Burton snowboarding movie, entitled “It’s Always Snowing Somewhere”, is absolutely fantastic and visually captivating.
I received a copy of the DVD feature recently and I really enjoy watching it. It’s got incredibly great music and the movie takes you to places on this earth that you would probably never get to see or visit. I’m so jealous of the Burton team for being able to go to these places and carve these mountains, all while saying that it’s all in a day’s work.
“It’s Always Snowing Somewhere” stars Shaun White, Terje Haakonsen, Gigi Rüf, JP Solberg, Heikki Sorsa, Nicolas Müller, Tadashi Fuse, Frederik Kalbermatten, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, Tadashi Fuse, DCP, Mads Jonsson, Trevor Andrew, Keegan Valaika, Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Mikkel Bang, Mikey Rencz, Peetu Piiroinen, and the Smalls Team.
