I honestly don’t recall this feature in Mac OS X Leopard, so I’m going to assume it’s new in Snow Leopard. But apparently you can hover over a media file in Snow Leopard and a play button will appear allowing you to preview the file’s contents (video/song) without having to open up a specific application. There you go, I learned something today.

On Tuesday’s memorial to Michael Jackson, John Mayer was one of the musicians to perform a tribute song to the late singer. John Mayer did a rendition of “Human Nature” on his guitar which ended up being my favorite tribute song during the ceremony because it had very little singing at all (none, in fact, from John Mayer).

Phoenix is no doubt one of my favorite bands in the whole world and I’m more than happy that they’re coming out with a new album this year entitled Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. I found this collection of police sirens available for free download on The New York Times website. You can use them as ring tones if your phone supports such a thing. The Rumbler siren is also there. Whee!
