DJ Steve Porter remixes Community (the TV show)

October 10, 2009 @ 9:24 pm

NBC’s new comedy series Community is one of my favorite new shows this season. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you head on over to Hulu right now and catch up since there aren’t too many episodes that have aired so far.

Anyway, if you’ve seen the show, then I think you’ll definitely appreciate this musical remix of the show that DJ Steve Porter put together.

SNL shoots their videos with Canon 7D and 5D cameras

September 30, 2009 @ 11:15 pm

Here’s a bit of nice trivia: Philip Bloom recently found out that NBC uses Canon 7D and 5D still cameras to shoot lots of material on their show. In fact, the 7D and 5D were used to film the title sequences and some studio shorts, which is a big deal considering the fact that SNL previously used film or high-end digital video cameras (rather than a still-camera system).

Parks and Recreation: Episode 1

April 11, 2009 @ 9:16 am

NBC has an amazingly funny new mockumentary TV show called Parks and Recreation about a government committee that is trying to build a new city park. It stars Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, and Rashida Jones and is created by Greg Daniels who is one of the people behind the hugely successful American adaptation of The Office.

The full first episode is embedded above (sorry non-US viewers, you’ll have to download the torrent).

Ann Curry and her dangerous adventures for NBC

January 30, 2009 @ 3:02 pm

To prepare you all for the sarcastic, dry humor that Sarah Haskins is bound to say this Sunday, here’s a hilarious segment of Target Women in which Sarah investigates how NBC is trying to kill Ann Curry.

Funny, but man would I love to have Ann Curry’s job in order to travel to so many places. Her passport must be stamped like mad.
