Lightroom 3 Beta now available for download

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Beta is available now for download. The list of new and improved features sounds very promising — basically, it’s a lot of speed improvements, better export settings for web and slideshow, improved watermarking, and much-improved noise reduction.

Lightroom is making my life easier

Wow, I did not know you could do this inside Adobe Lightroom. This is great! I’m finding it increasingly unnecessary to open Photoshop especially when I’m doing batch processes like this to multiple photographs. So many hidden gems inside Lightroom! Yippee!

Women with no nipples

Loreffrey Studios took a couple of photographs of women with their tops off and then Photoshop’d their nipples away, proving once and for all that it’s not actually considered nudity unless you see a nipple. Tada!

Barack Obama as a Vulcan

There’s an op-ed piece in The New York Times written by Maureen Dowd that uses this comical image of Barack Obama as a Vulcan to illustrate how Barack Obama is sort of like Spock, bridging the gap between many different divides. Actually, no, the article is really just a New York Times contributor reassuring the New York Times that they are still alive and relevant. Whatever. The picture is funny.
