United Nude produced this Lo Res shoe by digitally scanning an actual shoe and then modeling it in various resolutions. A neat effect I think that wouldn’t look too bad on actual feet. I dunno, you tell me.

RISD student Dylan Hayes stripped Street Fighter II down to its most basic graphic elements to show what the game might look like if it were made for the Atari 2600. It seems though that he only did the work on the characters and the level itself rather than the overlay graphics. But it’s still cool nonetheless. [via]
Music video that purposely looks like it is corrupted

If you’ve ever download a video from the web, you’ve probably run into the problem of getting a corrupted or incomplete video file at least once. The result, when you try to play the file, usually ends up looking either very pixely or distorted with lots of digital video artifacts in between frames. In other words, it looks like the music video for “Evident Utensil” by Chairlift shown above.
The thing I love about this music video though is that it’s made so well to deliberately mimic the look of a corrupted file, so much so that I actually thought I was watching a badly uploaded YouTube video. But when I realized that the morphing transitions within the video were carefully constructed, I literally stopped everything I was doing and gave the video my full attention. I really want to know what they did to get the effect so perfect and realistic.
The Go! Team – Milk Crises

I was checking out Pepper Melon’s website today and going through their various reels when I saw this video they created for The Go! Team called “Milk Crises”. The video is presented in conjunction with Cartoon Network and I don’t really know the reason behind it, but it’s cool nonetheless.
After you watch the video, you should check out the rest of Pepper Melon’s work, as they seem to be very good at what they do.
