I haven’t been to the Coney Island area lately so I had no idea that Totonno’s pizzeria was still closed for “renovations” after a fire destroyed it back in March of this year. Let’s hope these renovations don’t go on for much longer. From the picture, it doesn’t even look like anybody is doing much work to bring one of New York City’s best pizza places back on its feet. Sad. :(

The BBC is showing the public how a frozen pizza is made by giving an exclusive look into the innards of a frozen pizza factory. [via]
It’s amazing that 2 million frozen pizzas a week roll out of this factory with so little human involvement. Almost everything here is literally handled by machines, essentially allowing for the making of pizzas 24/7! I doubt the factory is open 24/7, but man, if it was, Ireland would be buried in pizza!
Also, the image below of sausages was very funny because they were waving around like they were excited or something. Watch the video, you’ll know what I mean.

Karol Lu won the top award this past weekend during the Ramen-Off competition at the Brooklyn Kitchen when she presented the ramen-crust pizza.
It looks kinda mushy from the photo, but I’d eat it anyway! If you want to make this, the full recipe is online here. Anybody want to make this and invite me over to eat it?
