Inside the NYPD Aviation Unit

August 5, 2009 @ 11:08 am

I loved watching this promo/recruiting video of the NYPD Aviation Unit. It certainly made me want to be up in the skies over Manhattan.
If you watch until the ending, you’ll get to see some rarely-seen footage of the 9/11 attacks from the view of an NYPD helicopter that was over the scene during that day. [via]

Making a getaway from church

August 4, 2009 @ 10:49 am

This is the police dashcam video of a 7-year-old Utah boy who stole his father’s car because he didn’t want to go to church. That’s one way to get out of it, I guess. [via]

Michael Moore on NYPD racism and brutality

June 11, 2009 @ 9:56 am

I’m wondering why I’ve never seen this clip of Michael Moore standing on New York City streets talking about NYPD racism even though this was clearly filmed several years ago. The stunts that are filmed and performed are actually pretty funny, but I can see how you’ll want to pistol-whip Michael Moore after a few minutes if you aren’t a fan of his documentary style.

BBC Comedy: “Your name, sir?”

May 26, 2009 @ 8:28 am

This is a pretty hilarious comedy sketch from the TV show “A Bit of Fry and Laurie” (featuring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie) in which Laurie has to give his name and address to an officer at the police station. [via]

Police slam wrong man into the wall

May 22, 2009 @ 2:03 pm

Wow, somebody is either losing a job or getting severely punished for this.

The man shown being slammed into the wall was wrongly identified as a suspect in an assault. The body slam left the innocent 29-year-old victim in a coma. MESSED UP.
