This is the music video for “Blue Steel” by Bot’Ox. It shows a bunch of scenes of a car in slow-motion driving into inflatable pool toys, soft objects, and things that generally bounce when hit. Pretty cool.
Esquire’s Obscura CueLight pool table

Obscura CueLight from Gizmodo on Vimeo.
The Obscura CueLight pool table is located at Esquire’s NYC bachelor pad and features a projector with smart sensors that indicate where a pool ball is on the table. When a pool ball rolls over any portion of the table, the projected image shows ripples as if the real-life pool balls were affecting the projected surface image. How much does something like this cost? About $200,000 according to CrunchGear. Yikes.

Kevin Federline fattens up!

No way! What in the world happened to Kevin Federline? It looks like he put on more than a couple of extra pounds since he stopped being Britney Spears’ backup dancer. Wow, that’s just…WOW.

This amazing piece of architecture is The Universe House, a structure designed by Tatiana Bilbao and based on the Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory in Delhi. The Universe House is unique because it is built so that the roof of the house holds an in-ground circular swimming pool/jacuzzi. Definitely a neat little design aesthetic that I’d love as part of my own home someday. Plus, it’s nice that you can sit in that pool and still overlook the ocean. Beautiful, eh?
Vertical jump out of the pool
July 20, 2009 @ 7:18 pm
BJ here can jump 3 feet out of the water and onto the pool’s edge without using his hands. Can you? I don’t think I can. I don’t even think I’d get close. Jumping out of the water like that is pretty hard.
