Just read over at Gizmodo that the Apple Store is still selling brand-new first-generation iPod music devices for $130. Whether or not this is a mistake is to be seen (comments are saying that it’s a glitch but at least one commenter has purchased the item), but for now, it looks like you can get a piece of design history at the Apple online store.
In any case, seeing that post made me think about the design of the first iPod and how lovely it looked. I did a bit of research and found the original press images for the iPod and you can check them out below. I couldn’t seem to find a place that had them up for download so now I’m offering it to you here.
Engadget linked to this video above which shows cellphones going crazy at a White House press conference. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs actually takes a cellphone from reporter John Gizzi after he failed to put it on vibrate. To top it off, another reporter’s cellphone then rang and Gibbs threatened to take that away too only to have the reporter walk out of the room to take the call. Where’s the respect in this place? Haha.
I love looking at hi-res images of just about anything (except maybe bugs and insects), so when I came across the product section of Jones Soda I was surprised to find that all hi-res product shots were available for free download. No stupid registration or reason needed. Just lovely images of Jones Soda products up close and personal.
This must be killing their servers. Anyway, here’s how big some of the glass bottles are as shown in the 100% crop below.
