Snow diving fox catches a mouse

This BBC video shows a snow diving fox carefully listening to its prey under 6 feet of snow and then suddenly pouncing on it. Keep in mind that the snow fox does not actually see the mouse underneath the snow. It knows where it is simply by instinct and listening to its movements.

Man, I thought dogs and cats had good hearing…

Oooo, that sucks. This video is part of The Great Migration episode on BBC’s Nature’s Great Events TV series.

BBC always has the best nature documentaries. Nature’s Great Events is going to be on DVD March 16, 2009. Can’t wait to get it on Netflix!
