Wow, at about 4:00, Robert Feldman talks briefly about individuals who are socially skilled and who end up telling lies because they know what the other party wants to hear. I find myself doing this sometimes not because I have nothing else to say but because I want to make the person I’m talking with comfortable. I understand it’s a bad habit but it has yet to come bite me in the butt (feel free to prove me wrong).
Alarm clock that shakes you out of bed
June 29, 2009 @ 11:28 am
This awesome alarm clock was one of the entries in 102.1 Edge’s World’s Biggest contest back in 2007. The alarm clock doesn’t really use any sound or loud noises, but instead it makes use of a large mounted air cylinder at the head of the bed and a valve controlled by a computer to literally shake somebody out of bed. Here’s one more video of the bed at the 102.1 Edge studios. I wonder what the chance of whiplash is…

It’s no secret that Phoenix is one of my favorite bands ever and their latest CD, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, has been at the top of my iTunes playlist ever since it leaked months ahead of its release date.
Well here are the French guys playing an acoustic version of “Lisztomania” on KEXP radio, recorded live at The Cutting Room Studios in NYC.
Pandora: Big Band & Swing

This is seriously the best listening station on Pandora. I keep it on all day and it always turns any situation into an old-timey feeling one. I love it. Everything seems to be alright when I listen to this sort of music.
