Disney presents the Presidents of the United States as animatronic robots

BoingBoing is sharing this mind-blowing video of Walt Disney World’s new Hall of Presidents show which features many of America’s greatest leaders all in one room. The show is full of animatronic robots of Presidents past and present (Obama is featured in the video above) and it’s both a bit freaky and fascinating. I can’t decide which emotion I’m feeling more, but I do know that I really want to go to Walt Disney World now to see this show for myself!

Looks like a photograph right?

Wrong! It’s a painting by Brooklyn artist David Jon Kassan who is currently exhibiting his work at the Gallery Henoch in New York City until April 4, 2009 (here are some images from the show’s opening).

Like Roberto Bernardi who I posted about not too long ago, David paints hyper-realistic scenes. His speciality of course, comes about in recreating the city landscape of abstract advertisements and city walls.
