Rectangular wooden bathtubs from Unique Wood Designs

October 30, 2009 @ 8:57 am

Most of the bathtubs I see are made of fiberglass or some form of acrylic. They all look pretty normal except for the occasional steel or metal bathtub which only some of my friends have. But nobody I know has wooden bathtub like these shown here from Unique Wood Designs.

The 4 shown here are part of the rectangular wooden bathtub series, but UWD also makes oval-shaped wooden ones as well if you aren’t a fan of the sharp corners.

If you have to ask about the price, you probably can’t afford it. Looks nice though, eh?

The Tsai Residence

The Tsai Residence is a private house built by HHF Architects (with Ai Weiwei) for two young art collectors in Ancram, NY. The house sits atop a small hill on a vast plot of land. It comes complete with a long rectangular pool and a deck for the nearby Taghkanic creek.

The house is definitely a work of art inside and out as seen in the photos by Iwan Baan.
