Cat sneaking up on somebody without actually moving

May 19, 2009 @ 11:03 am

Ok, of course the cat is moving. But every time the camera goes back to view the cat, the cat seems to be in the same stance as it was previously, just in a different spot on the floor. Thanks Chairman Meow!

Video of Disney using recycled animation frames

April 8, 2009 @ 2:03 pm

In January I was surprised to find out that Disney has been slipping recycled frames of animation under my nose for many, many years. The pictures were proof of some instances where Disney animators just seemed too lazy to make new animations, but now there’s a video out that’s even more compelling proof that Disney just sold us the same cartoon with different character names. These songs all sound the same

Apparently, a lot of songs use the same 4 chord progressions, making for a pretty dull video explaining how a lot of your favorite hits are actually composed of the same notes. Thanks Denise!

The Curious Case of Forrest Gump

“It’s exactly like Gump, except no AIDS.”

You know, if it weren’t for this video, I probably wouldn’t have even thought about the fact that these two films are very similar in storyline.

“Mac-compatible” My Passport

January 6, 2009 @ 11:06 am

passport-mac

I don’t fully understand why hard drive companies like Western Digital make Mac-specific products when all of their products can be used on a Mac. In any case, it’s a good excuse for them to put out the same product with a slightly different look, and in this case, the newly announced Mac-compatible My Passport external hard drive is no exception. The subtle but distinctive silver-lining along the side of this My Passport hard drive really makes it look better than its plain black counterpart. But honestly, this is the same thing. Same thing. Exact same thing. SAME THING. NO DIFFERENCE. SAME THING.

Still the same!
