The Mobile Desk

For $500, you too can roll around your office without actually leaving your desk. With the Mobile Desk, your seat and your computer stick with you without forcing you to lose a minute of hard work while you move around.

Want room for two? Yeah, there’s a mobile desk for two people too. Yay.

Hug Lounge Sofa embraces you on 3 sides

Leif.designpark designed this Hug Lounge Sofa for De La Espada. It was intended to sort of simulate a hug through the use of large cushions on all sides of the seat. It certainly looks comfy, but I know for a fact that this is way beyond my price range (not even gonna bother looking at the price). [via]

Testing a child’s patience with a marshmallow

September 14, 2009 @ 11:41 pm

Oh, The Temptation from Steve V on Vimeo.

This might be one of my favorite videos online.

In this video, various children are told to sit in a chair in a room with one marshmallow. The adult tells the child that they can either eat the marshmallow now or wait until they come back and as a reward, the child would receive another marshmallow for their patience. It’s funny to watch the kids squirm and wrestle with the temptation to eat the marshmallow. [via]

Anybody know anything about this baby seat/car? I found this image over at imageR but there’s no information about it. I’d love to know if this is purchaseable or if it’s a custom project by somebody.

UPDATE: MISHKA reports that this thing was made by Elmer Presslee, the same person who created the eyeball inside the Cyco-Simon Mask that sits at the MISHKA Broadway store. It’s funny because I figured that if anybody knew who made this, it’d be the folks at MISHKA, and I was right!

UPDATE 2: John Prolly has the link to actual photos from Elmer Presslee. See below (or start here on Flickr).

Chair made out of playpen balls

The Future Perfect is selling this custom-made chair by Hugh Hayden that is made entirely out of colorful playpen balls. The price isn’t listed but you can call to inquire about pricing (this pretty much guarantees that the chair is too expensive for most of us). No idea how much weight this chair can hold, but assuming that the balls are standard playpen balls, I’d suggest that this chair be bought as eye candy only. [via]
