If you live in Norway and you have the VG newspaper lying around, you might find that it comes in handy during uncomfortable times like the one depicted above when a young girl might want to start asking about the birds and the bees. [via]
Movie Review: The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down
July 3, 2009 @ 9:12 pm

I had never heard of this film, but Netflix recommended that I watch it after enjoying other movies similar to it, so I added it to my queue and sure enough, Netflix was right! The movie is a tongue-in-cheek take on nightlife and social interactions between young people in the US (mostly in California). It’s full of drugs, sex, alcohol…and fake doctors that dish out experiment after experiment to see just how people make it out in the party scene in the US.
On a scale of 1-10, I’d give this one a good solid 6.5. Recommended for a casual night at home.
The one where you have to look like you’re in ecstasy
May 21, 2009 @ 11:44 am

Photo: Todd Laffler
I think one of the reasons why I can’t picture myself ever becoming a wedding photographer is because I don’t think I’d be able to hold a straight face if I had to take a picture of the happy couple “enjoying each other” in public. There’s always at least one of these photos in every engagement photo shoot and it always feels so awkward to look at them, so I can’t imagine how it must feel to be the person photographing it.
Otherwise, the rest of this set of photos from Todd Laffler are praise-worthy (as are most of his photos).
Calvin and Suzie Derkins in bed
March 11, 2009 @ 10:24 pm

This is seriously messing with my head.
I can’t seem to find any information on the original artist, but there seem to be a lot more of these weird alternate Calvin and Hobbes comics over in this RottenTomatoes thread. Actually, here are some more Calvin and Hobbes comics where Calvin is grown-up. I can’t say I like these at all…
First public interview with Bristol Palin
February 17, 2009 @ 5:13 pm
Bristol Palin, the daughter of Sarah Palin, gave an exclusive first-time interview to Greta Van Susteren since the public found out about Bristol’s teen pregnancy through the media. Greta sits down candidly with Bristol and talks about issues of growing up very quickly with the baby and how Bristol dealt with the fact that the media was obsessed with covering the Republican VP nominee’s pregnant and unmarried daughter.
In the interview Bristol speaks out about how abstinence programs aren’t exactly working and how she feels that they are a bit unrealistic when it comes to kids her age. Bristol’s advice? “Just wait 10 years”, she says, because it’ll definitely be a lot easier when you’re married and you’ve got a career.
Here’s part 2 of the interview below.
Bristol is a lot prettier than I thought. Hmm, anyway, she’s definitely a lot more bearable than her mother in interviews.
This is what a koala sounds like while mating

Those Australians are so crazy…
I love how this AP news video included the mating call once again right at the very end. In case you missed it.
