How do you figure out if somebody in a movie is a bad guy? Just look at their complexion, says Brett Erlich!
Michael Jackson’s leg wound
July 17, 2009 @ 6:54 am

This photo released by ABC News grosses me out. It shows a patch of dead skin on Michael Jackson’s right leg which may have been caused by highly acidic leakage from intravenous lines inserted into his leg. The photo (which is only partially shown above), was taken in 2002 and was released by Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, in an effort to prove that his son did indeed have vitiligo, a skin disorder that causes discoloration of the skin.
You can check out the photo and some details here.
Bear attack laptop skin
July 16, 2009 @ 4:47 pm

This bear attack laptop skin by Spanish artist Adrià Fruitós is by far one of the greatest laptop skins I’ve ever seen. Pick one up for just $30 at Infectious. Oh, and if you don’t have a laptop, the same bear attack artwork seen above is available in iPhone and iPod/iPod touch variations. Yippee!
Video of children running from napalm bomb in Vietnam
February 21, 2009 @ 1:23 pm

I’ve seen this photo plenty of times before, but for those of you who might not be familiar with it, it’s a photograph taken by AP photographer Nick Ut on June 8, 1972 of a group of children fleeing the South Vietnamese village of Trang Bang after an accidental napalm bomb was dropped there by South Vietnamese planes. The photo’s obvious centerpoint is then-9-year-old Phan Thị Kim Phúc, who is the girl shown completely naked and running. The photo went on to serve as one of the iconic images of the Vietnam War, used by some as the ultimate proof that the war it Vietnam was a bad idea.
Anyway, the reason why I’m writing about this is because I just came across actual video footage of the bombing. I don’t know whether or not this is common knowledge among the generations older than me, but I certainly haven’t seen this video before. And now that I have, I’m incredibly saddened and unable to shake the image of the hanging skin from these burned children. I imagine that the children are so stunned by what just happened that they aren’t even feeling any immediate pain.
I warn you however, that the video is shocking and very graphic. So if you want to see it, it’s embedded inside.
Nothing beats black
November 19, 2008 @ 9:34 pm

So this blue OEM silicone skin from BlackBerry came in today. It’s exactly the same as the black one I already have. But with such crazy-cheap prices for these on eBay (most of them with free shipping), it can definitely be real easy to accumulate a whole rainbow collection of these skins.
I won’t do that though. After getting this blue one, I’ve realized that black looks the best on the Bold.
Blackberry Bold OEM skin in black
November 12, 2008 @ 8:35 pm

This OEM black silicone skin for the BlackBerry Bold just came in for me today. I slipped it on and it pretty much transformed my phone into an ultra-grip device. It fits perfectly (obviously, since it’s OEM and all), and it’s so friggin cheap that I’m thinking about buying a blue one just to have some color variety (and also to boost my eBay rating).
