This is a bit old, but on Monday, December 1, 2008, Venus, Jupiter and a crescent moon all lined up perfectly in the sky to create the illusion of a smiley face or a sad face (depending on what hemisphere and region you were looking up at the sky from).
It is a pretty rare event that these heavenly bodies line up so perfectly to form an image in the sky and Jack Horkheimer of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium says the next one won’t happen until November 18, 2052. So I’m sitting here trying to think of a brand re-design uglier than this recently unveiled Pepsi logo with a “smile”, and well, I cannot think of one.
They essentially have two logos in their new logo; 1 is the new “smile” logo and the other is hidden inside the lowercase “e” in “pepsi” (a take on their soon-to-be-retired logo). [via]
