Factor-Films just released this teaser for a film they are working on called They Came From…
The film captures the spirits of several snowboarders on the mountaintops as they glide down the slopes with helicopters and cameras overhead. The helicopter shots are actually quite nice. Can’t wait to see more!

GreyScaleGorilla has an awesome DIY solution to getting the best videos of you and your friends on the slopes during this snowboard/ski season. It is quite simple and the result (see below) is rather perfect.
All you need is a compact digital camera (Canon PowerShot is used above) and snowboarding/skiing goggles. You basically tie the strap to your goggle strap and then squeeze the camera between your forehead and the top of your goggles. Then you’ve got the perfect and uber-cheap solution to capturing all of your falls and jumps in glorious video for all to see later!

Quiksilver and Red Bull have teamed up with Brain Farm and several pro snowboarders to create what is possibily the world’s most epic snowboarding video in HD. The video called That’s It, That’s All is astonishing. I downloaded the trailer in 1080p and the whole thing was bigger than my screen could handle and not to mention absolutely clear and crisp.
It’s a whole different feeling when you watch pro snowboarders do their thing in HD. Everything seems that much more grand and the world looks so much more beautiful in HD.

This past August, Burton released a dual-disc DVD movie featuring their worldwide team of snowboarders. And just like everything they produce, the Burton snowboarding movie, entitled “It’s Always Snowing Somewhere”, is absolutely fantastic and visually captivating.
I received a copy of the DVD feature recently and I really enjoy watching it. It’s got incredibly great music and the movie takes you to places on this earth that you would probably never get to see or visit. I’m so jealous of the Burton team for being able to go to these places and carve these mountains, all while saying that it’s all in a day’s work.
“It’s Always Snowing Somewhere” stars Shaun White, Terje Haakonsen, Gigi Rüf, JP Solberg, Heikki Sorsa, Nicolas Müller, Tadashi Fuse, Frederik Kalbermatten, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, Tadashi Fuse, DCP, Mads Jonsson, Trevor Andrew, Keegan Valaika, Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Mikkel Bang, Mikey Rencz, Peetu Piiroinen, and the Smalls Team.
