If you get some time, you should definitely check out One In 8 Million, an interactive New York Times web showcase of some of New York City’s unique personalities.

The profile on Alife sneaker collector Jesse Villanueva is interesting as is the profile on ex-bank robber Mark Mocha.

Koss PortaPro headphones

Simon has a pair of these Koss PortaPro Headphones and I was so impressed with the quality and clarity of their sound that I went ahead and bought myself a pair as well. I understand that these aren’t the look that everybody is going for, but I discarded the fact that they don’t look all too “modern” after I heard the sound that comes out of them. In a word, the sound is wonderful!

Plus, it doesn’t hurt that they’re only $32 on Amazon.com.
Not a bad investment at all, even if you never do wear them outside. Koss PortaPro Headphones.

Choir simulates TV audio

Napping baby startled by dad’s snoring

January 29, 2009 @ 7:25 pm

This is a very funny video. I’m wondering what the baby would say if it could talk because it doesn’t seem like the baby knows the sound is coming from the big guy next to it. [via]

The Dial Up Kid

A rather pointless website, other than to make you remember the good old days of dialing up the internet and hearing the modem do its thing. It hangs up and repeats itself, so in essence this is a never-ending modem sound generator. Whee!

Long crowing rooster

I’m glad roosters aren’t standard house pets around the world. [via]

It’s crow sorta reminds me of this scene from Dumb and Dumber.
