Spring 2009 is seeing Converse drop an orange colorway of their totally awesome CTS skate shoe and I want it almost as much as I want the white one from last season.

This is fantastic! Google is ringing in the first day of Spring with this homage to the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle.
If you haven’t read this classic children’s book — arguably one of my favorites — then you can buy it for less than $10. But I highly suggest purchasing the GIANT hardcover edition
to really absorb the greatness of this book. It’s a bit more expensive, but it’s damn worth it I think.

Two sneakers from DC’s Spring 2009 Life Collection feature the amazing Tyvek super-material on the outside of the shoe. One shoe comes in white, purple, and orange and the other comes in a brown and gold. The Tyvek adds a nice distressed look to the shoe without having to worry about the material cracking (because Tyvek is ultra-strong and durable).
Marcus Troy has the cheesy story that inspired these shoes but I honestly couldn’t care less about that. I just think these look nice. Plus, I like Tyvek.

At 6PM tomorrow I will begin my final year as an undergraduate student at Parsons School of Design. I have waited 5 years for this day and it is finally here. About 4 more months of classroom torture and I’m shoved into the working world! A lot of people say it’s a terrible time to be out of school, but I think it’s even worse to be in school during these times.
So with that, here I go! I’ll invite you all to my senior show when it rolls around. :)

Mountain Valley Spring Water comes in a very nice glass bottle. You can pick them up at Whole Foods.

Somehow during the last 3-and-a-half years at Parsons, I have managed to accumulate enough of the right class credits to actually allow me to be a part-time student for my final Spring 2009 semester. This came as a surprise to me yesterday as I left the academic advising office after having been told this because up until that moment, I had always assumed I was behind by at least one class (because of my year-long studies abroad in Australia).
But by some miraculous feat, I am only going to have to take 9 credits next semester which leaves me with enough time to find a part-time job that pays as well as time to complete my senior thesis photo project. Or, if the job works out real well, then I’ll have some money to travel. :)
As you can imagine, this part-time situation opens up a lot of new opportunities for me and I’m more than a bit excited about it.
By the way, I just found out that Siegel + Gale are responsible for the hideous graffiti-like New School logo.
