Bike thief gets what’s coming to him

Hell yeah. If I ever see somebody trying to steal my bike or anybody else’s bike, I’m definitely getting involved in a manner similar to this. [via]

The Prisoner’s Dilemma

June 2, 2009 @ 9:34 pm

I’ve never watched Golden Balls before, but apparently the British game show makes use of a particular game theory known as the Prisoner’s Dilemma in which each contestant must choose independently of each other whether they want to split a large sum, steal a large sum, or risk losing all for the sake of the game. I’ll probably do a bang-up job of describing it, so I recommend watching the video above if you don’t understand the situation.

Man, talk about backstabbing and an increased heart rate! Thanks for this interesting video Clarence!

Coca-Cola: Heist

January 31, 2009 @ 12:41 am

Wieden + Kennedy Portland, together with the genius animators and directors at Psyop, have unveiled the latest Coca-Cola commercial entitled “Heist” that really takes the Coke ads to the next level of creativity.

I don’t particularly like bugs and insects, but for “Heist” I can stand to view them over and over again as they steal a bottle of Coke from a sleeping friend in order to spread good cheer to the rest of nature’s inhabitants.

The YouTube video above isn’t the greatest of quality, so I highly suggest that you head on over to Motionographer to view the commercial in the best format possible.

Just a note: This is a different ad campaign than the latest Happiness Factory spot that came out recently.

Stealing is easy at Whole Foods

whole-foods-stealing

Here’s an interesting thing to note (and you can do what you want with the information): Racked says that Whole Foods employees are not allowed to touch any customer, even if the customer is caught stealing. As you can imagine, this means that it is allegedly very easy to steal anything from Whole Foods without even bothering to be a ninja.

I’m not saying that you should steal from Whole Foods, but it’s interesting to know just in case you thought it was a good idea to thwart off a thief by telling Whole Foods staff. Probably better to tackle and stop the thief yourself.

This, my friends, is the perfect example of a slow news day.
