So Timbuk2 is playing around with the idea of putting their logo on the shoulder strap rather than the front flap cover of their messenger bags. I don’t think this move would hurt their sales or their identity at all.
But yeah, just FYI.

Porter makes a book strap that could come in handy when lugging lots of books around campus or to and from work. [via]
The strap surrounds your books on all four sides with a single strap by using a clever fastening device. I could definitely see this same device used in a variety of ways to securely fasten a load.
It comes in beige, red, and navy and costs about $75.
