In Austria, there lies the Green Lake, a grassy meadow that becomes flooded in the Spring and Summer from melting ice. A house getting swallowed by rising waters in Georgia

This photo taken by John Bazemore for the Associated Press shows a house nearly consumed by flood waters in Mableton, Georgia on Tuesday (September 22, 2009). As posted earlier, parts of Georgia have experienced tremendous rainfall which has caused massive flooding and several deaths.

Rollercoaster at Six Flags in Atlanta under water

Constant rain over the last week or so has put parts of Georgia under water. In the pictures (taken September 23, 2009) and video here, you can see parts of Six Flags Over Georgia (West of Atlanta) submerged in murky waters rendering the entire park useless until the waters recede.

According to some estimates, about $250 million in damage has been done to to people’s homes and 8 people have died as a result of this wet weather.
