Ink Tank graffiti spray tagging system

AnimalNY writes about Ink Tank, a German group of graffiti writers/artists who have created their own KRINK-like branded spray tagging system that is small enough to fit inside an average sized backpack.

It’s all nice I suppose, but don’t people know that they can make these sprayers themselves with a very cheap pesticide spray pump? I mean, I literally used to watch my dad do this same thing with poison. I should ask him where our pesticide pump is — he’d probably give it to me.

BB posted this video of graffiti writer ‘Buket’ tagging the overpass of the 101 Freeway in California in broad daylight.

Ballsy, but it comes with a price as ‘Buket’ was recently sentenced to nearly 4 years in jail plus heavy fines for his very public stunt.

A new book from Melbourne University Publishing that chronicles the history and events that led to Melbourne being a graffiti art mecca of the world is due to be released on July 1, 2009. The book, titled Kings Way: The Beginnings of Australian Graffiti, and written by Duro Cubrilo, Martin Harvey and Karl Stamer, is an in-depth look at Melbourne’s graffiti roots from 3 people who were there from the start.
