Karin Fong interview – Forget the Film, Watch the titles from SubmarineChannel on Vimeo.

From the Forget The Film, Watch The Titles website:

Designer and director Karin Fong is one of the founding members of the influential design company Imaginary Forces. She has worked on numerous Main Title projects since she started working for IF. We caught up with her backstage after the Flux/Watch the Titles event in L.A. Fong talks about her recent main title and the making of “machine vision” for Terminator Salvation, her animated title sequence for The Pink Panther 2, and we asked her about her favorite title sequences.

I’ve found myself noticing more and more the opening title sequences to recent movies and I think part of it certainly has to do with creative people like Karin Fong. [via]

Black20 created this hilarious mashup of the Terminator films and Transformers. They call it Transforminators. Thanks Clarence!

Terminator exoskeleton patches

I don’t know why these Terminator exoskeleton patches are being marketed as “Terminator Salvation” roleplay items. It’s not like the exoskeleton only shows up in Salvation.

Anyway, kinda tacky I guess and I’d image that they’d serve some form of entertainment for at least several minutes.

Maybe it’s a good thing they’re on pre-order at the moment.

Thanks Flo!

Terminator 2 1:1 prop replica of endoskeleton arm on eBay

Someone is selling a 1:1 prop replica of the Terminator T-800 endoskeleton arm used in the movie for a starting bid of $1299 on eBay. The endoskeleton, similar to the one above, is in mint condition and 100% brand new! The arm is practically sold out everywhere and was sold at one time for as little as $500.

Check out the video below for a not-so-satisfying review of the same replica endoskeleton arm. I think it’d be a lot cooler if it came in a glass encasement like it did in the Terminator 2 movie, but whatever, this is still pretty neat.
