The QLOCKTWO is a beautiful flat-faced clock designed by Biegert & Funk that uses words to tell the time. Individual minutes of the day are indicated by small LED dots at the corners of the clock and you can get the QLOCKTWO in a variety of colors and languages. [via]
How much is it? Ah, you had to ask didn’t you? It’s about $1565 USD. Surprised? I’m not.

Hehe, if you liked the typography books from Brighten The Corners, then you’ll appreciate this video animated with type called TXT ISLAND. The stop-motion animation was created by Chris Gavin of Tandem Films and was made entirely with a push pegboard and a set of plastic letters. The sound effects really make this fantastic. :)

Deamplified came across a stash of 19th-century checks from Brooklyn and was immediately amazed at the level of detail adorned on the face of each check. You really don’t see such intricate markings on checks anymore and these are wonderful examples of great artistry on an item that is looking more and more plain by the minute.
Head on over to Deamplified for detailed scans of each check.

Check out these beautiful and simple images with juxtaposed text created by Shaun (f letter) over at Sundholm Design. Every single image in this set is amazing and I think the mixed typefaces are perfect.
