This is fantastic! The MTA has posted some photos of the newly renovated East 180th Street Subway Station in the Bronx. The station serves the 2/5 trains and was originally built in 1912 as part of the defunct New York, Westchester & Boston Railway. Look at how clean this is! More photos inside!

This video is from the Modica family showing a home video they shot of Freedomland Amusement Park in The Bronx circa 1963. According to Wikipedia, this place was centered around US-history as its theme and closed promptly a year after this video was shot because it failed to make a profit.

Good news from NYCGov: The restoration of NYC’s oldest bridge (first opened in 1848 and then closed in the 1970s) has begun as of this past weekend.
