For the latter half of this week, I’ve been making my own coffee and bringing it to work in the Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug, a wonderful and affordable thermos that has a neat quick-release button at the top to prevent your beverage from spilling. The button allows you to seal the contents of the thermos quickly without having to worry about whether or not your lid is screwed on tightly (hopefully it is though). Once the button is pushed, you can literally tip the Oxo mug over and nothing will drip.

On top of that nice little feature is the fact that it works well as a thermos. It kept my coffee hot for several hours. I’ve read reviews saying that this thermos was hard to clean, but if you follow the instructions that come with it, you’ll find that cleaning this and maintaining it is as simple as ever (so simple that I don’t know how somebody can even get it wrong). The Oxo travel mug is hassle-free and only $20 on Amazon.com and it comes in a variety of colors. Buy one and pretty soon you’ll be saving a good amount on coffee or tea.

I just purchased an Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug. Hoping to save myself some money on coffee every morning. Plus, I’ve heard good reviews about this mug. I’ll let you all know how it is when I get it in.

SIGG Trend Line Thermal bottle

I live close enough to my new workplace so that I don’t really need to wake up “early” to catch trains or anything like that. This leaves me plenty of time to wake up and get ready and make a cup of coffee. I thought I’d save some money by investing in a thermos so that I won’t need to go to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts every morning to get a cup of joe to get me started. And just in case I’m running a bit late, maybe I’ll look into buying one of these SIGG Trend Line Thermos bottles so I can pour my own homemade coffee into it and take it to work. At $9, all I need to do is bring homemade coffee twice before breaking even on this purchase. What say you? Do you have a better thermos alternative? Something that holds about the same amount as a standard mug and doesn’t look like I’m carrying camping gear…?
