My friend Gabrielle Leong just sent me a link to her engagement photo session with photographer Todd Laffler and the images are stunning as usual! Gabby will be getting married next year to her fiance James at the beautiful grounds of Princeton University. AWESOME!! Congratulations!!

I think one of the reasons why I can’t picture myself ever becoming a wedding photographer is because I don’t think I’d be able to hold a straight face if I had to take a picture of the happy couple “enjoying each other” in public. There’s always at least one of these photos in every engagement photo shoot and it always feels so awkward to look at them, so I can’t imagine how it must feel to be the person photographing it.
Otherwise, the rest of this set of photos from Todd Laffler are praise-worthy (as are most of his photos).

It was only a matter of time after Todd Laffler posted his best engagement photos of 2008 that he would come out with his best wedding photos of 2008 too! I totally forgot about this, but I came across a picture of Andrea and Jordan’s wedding picture in there too. Check it out if you want to see some wedding eye-candy.

Todd Laffler does some of the most wonderful wedding photography that I’ve ever seen. His unique and relaxed approach to capturing his subjects’ most perfect day are definitely reflected in his images. I particularly like the image above because it’s very far away from everything, which is in contrast to the usual wedding photography that I see which is very up-close and in the subject’s face. Somehow, Laffler makes being even so far away from the wedding party a beautiful scene.
