CrackBerry posted this video preview of the Storm 2 (BlackBerry 9550 on Verizon or the 9520 on AT&T) and it looks like a godsend compared to the first Storm. RIM has done away with the click-screen which was absolutely terrible and replaced it with a touchscreen more like an iPhone’s.
I haven’t heard any release dates for AT&T yet, but if the timing is right, maybe I’ll upgrade to this when it comes out on AT&T.
Tapbot has unleashed the Convertbot, a very beautiful unit conversion utility for the iPhone (or iPod touch).
Unit conversion is often the most boring thing you can do on an electronic device, but Tapbot makes the necessary activity visually stimulating which in turn makes it just a bit more fun (but honestly, still a bit boring). If you’re curious, the demo video above was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II with a 70-200mm lens.
You can purchase the Convertbot on the iTunes app store for $1. Or you can do all your conversions through Google for free (if you can stand to type on the iPhone).
Sometimes I forget that I put Barney as my wallpaper on my iPod touch and when I go to turn it on, I start chuckling at the sight of him. This is the ultimate way to stay happy!!
By the way, I made this Barney wallpaper if anybody wants it. I’m using it temporarily right now. Download it here.
