Wow, I used to watch this show when I was younger. I don’t recall this particular segment on architecture but I do remember that it was hip to rap about stuff back in the 80’s and 90’s. It’s amazing, but true! [via]

Oprah makes Charice Pempengco’s dream come true

November 21, 2008 @ 12:59 pm

Vicki links to two videos of Charice Pempengco appearing on Oprah during the Dreams Come True episode where Oprah literally makes Charice’s dream of singing with Celine Dion a reality. If you don’t remember, Charice Pempengco is the very young and talented singer from the Philippines who rose to fame through her videos on YouTube.

On September 9, 2008, Charice was a guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show and Oprah surprised her with a special invitation from Celion Dion to perform with her on stage at Madison Square Garden. As you can imagine, Charice was more than happy to be the special guest on Celine’s tour so she accepted and on September 15, 2008, the two of them performed a song together on stage.

Man, watching this girl sing gives me goosebumps! She’s only 16 and already she’s being hailed as one of the greatest young voices in the industry. Just amazing!
