Simon inadvertently purchased this Bicycle Ribbon Deck for me last night as we were out at the supermarket grabbing groceries. This deck is similar to the pink deck I already own (see here) except that it features the pink ribbon on every single card to remind you that you helped the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with this purchase.

Check out the images below and buy your own Bicycle Pink Breast Cancer Ribbon Playing Cards at Amazon.com for just over $2. It’s for a good cause. :)

I wasn’t lying about those playing cards

As of June 2009, these are the decks I’ve collected. Not all of them are unique, but they certainly all do hold a particular memory in my life.

And below are the “miscellaneous” decks I have. Except for the Invisible Cards, they’re all from the U.S. Playing Card Company as well, but under a different brand name.

Bicycle clear playing cards

I love surprises, and this was certainly a good surprise. Turns out that I had a clear deck of Bicycle playing cards on my shelf, unopened and untouched. I don’t recall when I bought it, or who bought it for me, but it’s nice to open yet another fresh deck of cards. This deck looked like it was sitting there for a long time though because it was really dusty.

Texan playing card deck from the U.S. Playing Card Company

The other deck I got in today was the Texan playing card deck (from The U.S. Playing Card Company). It was supposedly first made in 1889 and this re-issued deck contains the original red dual-star back design. The face of the cards are your standard black and red suits, but the Joker cards show a sketch of a cowboy on a horse and the type used for the letters and numbers are a tad bit thinner than your usual Bicycle playing card deck.

Despite the “Texan” label, this deck is standard issue. It’s nice, but not as nice as the Eco Edition deck I got.

The good thing about this is that it was only $1.50, so if you want a cheap deck, this is a good bet.
