I can’t link directly to it because it’s a stupid flash website, but if you’ve got some time, you should stop by Gigi Cifali’s website and check out the photos of abandoned pools in the United Kingdom under the set entitled “Absence of Water”.

Butter vs Margarine

Butter & Marge: A Tale of Two Spreads from Outside Line on Vimeo.

Friends of Butter (UK) put out this short little film about the benefits of choosing butter over margarine. [via]

I’ve always thought that margarine was sort of unhealthy simply because it was made to be a substitute for butter and this video sort of reinforces that thought. Glad to know I’m on the right side of this debate. :P

Watching The Office (UK version)

I’ve heard so much about the original version of The Office from which the American version is based off of. It’s been out on DVD for a while now (even longer if you count torrents), but I’m just starting to watch it now. It’s pretty funny and I can definitely see where some of the American characters came from.

I’m only half-way through the first episode and some of the lines in the American Office are taken verbatim from the UK version. People have told me that if I like the American version of the show that I won’t like the UK version, but so far, I think it’s entertaining.
