Seth Goldstein created a robot/machine that can play the violin. It’s called the Ro-Bow and he calls it a kinetic sculpture.

I’ve seen these automatic/mechanical music playing machines before (mostly on carousels), but I had no idea they could replicate and play stringed instruments as well. This is rather impressive!
