For a very limited time only, a special metallic version of Voltron will be on sale to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. The 25th anniversary metallic Voltron is in every way just like the original toy with 5 inter-connecting robot lions, except that this one is given a unique metallic finish. [via]
It looks like a Chinese toy manufacturer has fused the lives of Thomas The Tank Engine (and his friends) with the 5 lions from the Voltron force and created this odd Thomas The Tank Engine Voltron toy. [via]
The 3 tank engines split into 5 parts and create the head, body, arms and legs of the robot just like Voltron (albeit a bit sillier looking).
So I’m on Hulu and I discover that Voltron Defender of the Universe is available for free viewing on Hulu! I actually don’t know how many seasons there were of Voltron, but currently Hulu has 2 seasons’ worth of episodes (45 episodes) which should take up a lot of time if one were to watch it from the beginning. Whoo! :D
Local Celebrity just announced that they are selling limited-edition Voltron T-shirts that look like they’ve been worn before for $30. Nice, but not $30 nice. We’re in a recession here!
Artist Robert Burden created this time-lapse video of him painting a big Voltron onto a canvas. [via]
The final image shows Voltron against an odd backdrop that reminds me a lot of those Persian rugs that people have in their homes. Come to think of it, this would be totally awesome as a rug.
