The Toy Story Collection

Hot on the heels of the news that MattyCollector will be carrying the replica Buzz Lightyear action figure starting August 3rd, is the news that the Disney Store also has replica action figures from the film available for pre-order.
The new toys (6 in all, shown above), are the closest representations of the toys from the movie that any toy maker has made so far. The collection will be called “The Toy Story Collection” and consist of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bucket O Soldiers, Aliens, and Rex, and R/C. The toys in this collection are all proportional to each other and you can get a sense of how large they are by knowing that Buzz Lightyear is 12″ tall and Rex is approximately 13″ tall.
AWESOME. I want Buzz Lightyear and Rex the most.
Bronze statue of Buzz Lightyear and Woody given to Pixar employees

The Pixar Blog is reporting on an awesome Pixar employee appreciation award ceremony that took place on Friday, February 27, 2009. These bronze Buzz Lightyear statues were given to Pixar employees who have been with the company for 10 or more years. Employees that have been with the company for 20 or more years were given both bronze Buzz Lightyear and Woody statues (see the Woody statues here and here)!
How awesome is that? Those people at Pixar who received these awards certainly deserve it for having such a great track record with Pixar film successes.
The Dark Knight trailer (Toy Story edition)

This recut trailer features scenes from Toy Story (I & II) and borrows audio from The Dark Knight trailer. Together, it’s a wonderful mix of two of my favorite movies of all time. Woody becomes the Joker, Batman is played by Buzz Lightyear, Alfred is Rex (LOL!!), and Lucius is played by Mr. Potatohead (because Mr. Potatohead is a bit brownish in color). [via]
