Clothing label Black Scale is selling this T-shirt depicting a plane’s shadow over both of the former World Trade Center towers. What a lame way to generate exposure for their line, knowing that an image of any plane over the WTC is going to generate some controversy. It’s working, no doubt about it (as this post is evidence), but still, very lame.
If your clothing company can’t think of a better T-shirt design than simply slapping a black and white unattributed image over over a blank tee, then you can pretty much forget about it.

As always, The Big Picture does an incredible job of posting relevant images pertaining to a major news event, in this case, the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
They have a large image of The Falling Man, an iconic image taken by Richard Drew that inspired a documentary film (posted previously), as well as a number of amazing photos of Ground Zero then and now.
The image above shows Ground Zero on October 4, 2001.

The Daily News is running a news story on a secret leaked document from the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center (LMCCC) that says that the WTC rebuilding site is years behind schedule and that the buildings probably will not be open until 2018.
Furthermore, the 9/11 Memorial which was supposed to open by the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks won’t actually open until at least 2 years after that date (sometime around 2013). To top it off, the PATH terminal that is part of the WTC site is projected to miss its June 2014 opening date and will instead be opening around 2018.
This is so ridiculous. Seriously.

Wow, New York City apparently wasn’t joking when they announced that they were doing an emergency drill at the PATH station at the World Trade Center. The picture above from Photo Journal shows a volunteer victim with a FAKE shard of glass in his head.
Freaky!
