Remember The North Face Base Camp Duffel that I posted earlier last year? Well, The North Face has taken the same rugged bag, reshaped it and added two shoulder straps to it to turn it into a backpack. The new creation is called Base Camp Master Cylinder and it’s only $99. At that price, you get an indestructible pack that hauls more than just your everyday load.

Also, due to the bag’s shape and features, you can access its contents via a top and side opening which is great for putting awkward-sized objects in.

If you follow @doobybrain, you might have already seen these, but for those of you who are anti-Twitter, here you go: the Bicycle yellow playing card deck.

It comes with two “trick” cards (shown below) which look like they are misprinted. This deck, once again, is courtesy of Ivy!

CAB FIRE, 7TH AVENUE AND 53RD STREET. from Brian Durniak on Vimeo.

I’m always down for a good taxi cab fire, and this one certainly fits the mold. This cab exploded today at 53rd Street and 7th Avenue. I couldn’t be there in person to see it, but this video does a good job of showing the remnants of this car.

Timeline of time travel in popular TV shows and movies

Information Is Beautiful posted this rather confusing timeline of time travel in popular TV shows and movies. It was taken from the book The Visual Miscellaneum (Harper Collins) by David McCandless.

I find that this graphic is rather hard to read because of that stupid squiggly yellow year-line. This would have been much better if that line was just straight and everything else bounced around it. What the heck, right? That yellow squiggly line just screws everything over. This could have been so much more awesome. See the entire graphic here.
