Hmm, here's a super interesting video about how budget airlines (specifically those in Europe) make money and how they operate on such low costs. It's no surprise that budget airlines skimp on a lot of stuff like staff, airplane amenities, and other conveniences. But one big surprise here for me at least was finding out that budget airlines are huge. They own a lot of planes and fly almost non-stop. That's a good reminder to never book back to back budget airline travel or risk sitting around in a small regional airport somewhere forever.
